Mr. George Jackson
President & CEO

In 1994, Mr. Jackson, a service-disabled veteran, conceptualized, founded and began serving as the President/CEO of Focused Management Inc. His vision was to create a company of high integrity with a solid commitment to providing quality technical services and value-added solutions to its customers at a reasonable price. Under his leadership, FMI has realized substantial growth and has distinguished itself as a small business with a stellar reputation for delivering on its promises—services on time and within budget. FMI has achieved recognition as an exceptional government contractor, as evidenced by formal recognition from many satisfied federal clients, including the USDA (Department Management), who awarded FMI “SDVOSB of the Year” in 2015.

Prior to starting FMI, Mr. Jackson held various senior-level leadership, management and consulting positions for Government agencies and private sector firms. He has over 35 years of professional experience in information technology, executive management, professional and administrative management, and system development consulting. Technical experience includes large systems integration projects consisting of analysis, design, programming, and implementation using various structured methodologies. Prior to entering the private sector, he served in the U.S. Army for twenty-two (22) years.

Mr. Jackson’s current objective is to continue growing the company and strategically position the firm to compete in a very fast-paced and dynamic information technology and support services environment.

Mr. Jackson holds a Master of Science in Administration Degree with an emphasis in designing and deploying computer information systems; a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, and a Graduate Program Certificate in Information Systems.

 

Patricia Nichols-Jackson

Dr. Patricia Nichols-Jackson is FMI’s Executive Vice President and Director of Quality. She is responsible for all administrative functions, including finance, accounting, legal and human resources. She develops organizational and financial policy, evaluates business plans and contingencies and provides oversight on contracts. Working alongside Mr. Jackson, Dr. Nichols-Jackson has improved the overall financial and operational efficiency of the company.

Dr. Nichols-Jackson has had a stellar 30+ year career in financial systems analysis, design, integration, implementation, program/project management and accounting system support services. She has supported several federal agencies and national and international banks. In these roles, Dr. Nichols-Jackson reviewed budgets, procurements and contracts for compliance with Federal policies and guidelines, and tracked budget execution to authorized appropriations. She also evaluated manual and automated practices in Government agencies for the CFO to ensure adherence to accounting standards and other Federal management policies and guidelines.

Dr. Nichols-Jackson has a B.A. from the University of Detroit (summa cum laude) and an M.S.F.S. (Master of Science in Foreign Service) from Georgetown University with a concentration in Finance. Dr. Nichols-Jackson graduated with a Doctorate of Liberal Studies from Georgetown University focusing on Business Ethics.
